3 Cursed Chests

3 Cursed Chests Slot

3 Cursed Chests: Hold & Win is a 5-reel, 3-row slot from Hacksaw Gaming with 17 fixed paylines, released 28 May 2026. RTP is 96.3% — in line with the industry average — and volatility is medium. Bets range from €0.05 to €400 per spin.

The Three Chests

The core mechanic: three distinct chest bonuses, each tied to its own symbol type and bonus mode. Land three matching chest scatters on a single spin to activate the corresponding bonus. The chests never mix, keeping each path clean.

• Cursed Coins Bonus (Red Chest) — a Hold & Win round where Coin symbols stick in place.
• Cursed Wilds Respin (Green Chest) — Wild symbols spread across the reels during respins.
• Cursed FS Respin (Blue Chest) — opens the free spins path, leading to Treasure Cove or Ghostly Gallows.

Free Spins: Treasure Cove and Ghostly Gallows

The Blue Chest splits into two upgrades. Land 7 or more FS Scatter symbols to reach the Treasure Cove Bonus. Add one FS Upgrade symbol on top of those scatters and you enter the Ghostly Gallows Bonus — the game's premium free spins mode, awarding 7–15 free spins. The Ghostly Gallows route also transfers all existing free spins into the new bonus.

Wild Multipliers

Wilds carry multiplier values: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 75x, or 100x. When multiple Wilds land in the same winning combination their multipliers add together. This stacking is the main path to the 2,500x maximum win.

Bonus Buy

Feature Buy is available where local regulations permit:

• 3× bet — Cursed FS Respin
• 40× bet — all three Cursed Chests
• 90× bet — Treasure Cove Bonus
• 200× bet — Ghostly Gallows Bonus

Is It Worth Playing?

Three separate bonus paths and additive Wild Multipliers give each session a different shape depending on which chest opens. The 2,500x ceiling is modest if you're chasing huge hits, but medium volatility means the bonus triggers more often than in high-volatility games. At 200× for the top mode, the Ghostly Gallows Feature Buy sits at a fair price point.

If you like Hacksaw's bonus-choice style, it also shows up in Chaos Crew 2 and the nautical Cursed Seas. For more from the studio, Dork Unit, Dorks of the Deep, and Break Bones are worth a look.
