Extra Chilli

Extra Chilli: A Megaways Slot Set in a Mexican Chilli Market

The game runs on six reels with a variable number of symbols on each, producing up to 117,649 ways to win on a single spin. That ways count rises and falls every time the reels stop.

How the Megaways Reels Work

Each of the six reels can show between two and seven symbols. Multiplying those counts together is how the figure swings from a few hundred up to 117,649. Wins are formed by matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left, regardless of row position.

Cascading reels (Big Time Gaming calls the mechanic Reactions) build on this. When a win lands, those symbols are removed and new ones drop in. If the fresh symbols create another win, the cascade continues, so a single paid spin can chain into several consecutive payouts. Lower-value card ranks pay the least, with the themed chilli-market symbols paying the most.

Free Spins and the H.O.T Scatters

The main feature is triggered by landing the H, O and T scatter symbols across the reels, awarding eight free spins to start. Additional scatters landing during the round retrigger further spins.

Inside the free spins, an unlimited win multiplier is the key draw. It increases by one with every cascade and never resets during the round, so a long chain of cascades can push the multiplier high enough to reach the game's biggest payouts.

The Free Spins Gamble Wheel

Before the free spins begin, Extra Chilli offers an optional gamble. A wheel lets you risk your starting spins for the chance to win more, working up toward a maximum of 24 free spins. The first spin of the wheel is an even 50/50, and subsequent gambles shift slightly in the player's favor. A successful gamble can improve a round, while a failed one can cost the feature you just triggered.

Feature Drop Bonus Buy

Feature Drop is Big Time Gaming's bonus-buy mechanic. Feature Drop symbols can land during normal play and incrementally lower the cost of buying the bonus. Alternatively, players can pay to jump straight into the free spins at any time, with the exact cost set by the operator.

RTP, Volatility and Max Win

This version of Extra Chilli runs at an RTP of 96.19%. Volatility is high: wins arrive less often, but the ceiling is far higher than on a low-variance title. Long stretches without a meaningful hit are normal between bonuses.

The maximum win is capped at 20,000 times your stake. Reaching anywhere near that figure depends on the free spins delivering a sustained run of cascades with the unlimited multiplier climbing.

Betting Range and Free Demo

Stakes run from 0.10 per spin. Given the high volatility, smaller bets let your balance last through the dry spells while you wait for the feature.
