Zentaurus is a Merkur slot that tries to blend Greek mythology with a cosmic twist, and the result is a bit of a mixed bag. You get a standard 5x3 grid with 10 fixed paylines, which is classic Merkur territory.

The developer hasn't published the RTP for this game. That's a significant piece of missing information for any player trying to gauge the game's potential. We only know it's listed as having medium volatility. This means you can expect a balance between the frequency of wins and their size, but without the RTP, it's hard to judge the overall theoretical return. The max win is also not advertised. This lack of transparency is a downside and makes it difficult to recommend to players who like to know the full math profile before they spin.
Zentaurus plays on a familiar 5-reel, 3-row layout with 10 fixed paylines. Wins are formed by landing matching symbols on consecutive reels from the leftmost side. The lower-value symbols are the classic 10, J, Q, K, and A, styled with a simple gem-like aesthetic. The higher-value symbols are thematic, featuring a helmet, a harp, a Pegasus, and the Zentaurus character himself as the top-paying regular symbol.
The wild symbol, represented by a glowing planet or orb, substitutes for all symbols except the scatter. The scatter is the key to the main event: the free spins round. Landing three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels triggers the free games. During this bonus, a progressive multiplier comes into play. The multiplier increases with each winning spin, which is the primary mechanic for building bigger wins during the feature. It's a straightforward concept, but the base game can feel quite barren while you're waiting for those scatters to line up. There are no other bonus games, cascading reels, or buy-a-bonus options here.
Visually, Zentaurus is where you can really see its age. The graphics are functional but dated, with a somewhat static background of stars and constellations. The Zentaurus character—a centaur archer—looks like he stepped out of an early 2000s fantasy game. The sound effects are equally basic, with generic spinning noises and chime-like win sounds. There's no dramatic music or evolving soundtrack, which adds to the overall feeling that you're playing a very traditional, no-frills slot machine. The theme is an odd fusion; it's not fully committed to Greek myth nor deep space, leaving it feeling a bit undefined. If you prioritize modern graphics and atmospheric audio, this game will disappoint.
Zentaurus is a slot for a very specific type of player. If you enjoy straightforward, classic-style slots from providers like Merkur and don't mind simpler graphics, you might find its medium volatility and free spins multiplier to be a decent combo. It's suited for players who prefer a slower, more methodical session without the sensory overload of modern video slots. The lack of a published RTP, however, makes it a hard sell for analytically-minded players.
You should probably skip Zentaurus if you crave frequent bonus triggers, interactive features, or engaging narratives. The base game is quite lean, and the journey to the free spins can be uneventful. High-volatility thrill-seekers will find it too tame, and casual players looking for constant small wins might also get bored during the dry spells. It's best approached as a low-stakes, background kind of game rather than a main attraction.
Given the missing RTP and the dated presentation, the best way to see if Zentaurus is for you is to try it for free. Spin it a few times to see if the classic Merkur feel and the free spins multiplier click with your style, without any risk.
